High-quality, high-speed black and white printing of medical images with compact design and possibility of analogue and digital input The UP-X898MD is a compact A6 digital monochrome printer for medical applications that supports both analog video and digital USB signal inputs compatible with computers. It has been designed to be integrated into a wide variety of compatible medical applications, such as digital ultrasound systems, mobile C-arm or cardiac catheterization laboratories. The high-quality thermal printing engine can produce printed copies of still images captured by these systems for use in patient records and referrals to other specialists. For even greater convenience, printing still images can also be stored on a connected USB flash drive. (Note that images printed with the UP-X898MD should not be used for diagnostics). The UP-X898MD is the successor to Sony's popular UP-897 series of medical printer printers. Redesigned and updated, it offers several operational and ergonomic improvements, but retains its small size and easy integration into medical carts. The simplicity of use is enhanced by a larger LCD panel and a joystick that facilitates intuitive navigation through the menu. It is capable of offering high quality black and white prints in less than two seconds. The advanced thermal printing technology offers almost photographic quality results with a wide variety of print media available.
Wireless printing capacity:
By using the optional UPA-WU10 * wireless printing system, you can get a wireless connection between the Sony printer (UP-971AD, UP-991AD, UP-X898MD and UP-DR80MD), mobile C-arm and other modes of hospital scanner.

High quality printing:

Storing images on a USB flash drive:
The UP-X898MD can automatically store printed images from video or USB inputs on a connected USB storage device.

The M3014A capnography extension is designed for use by clinicians to measure etCO2 and awRR of intubated and non intubated adult pediatric and neonatal patients in critical and intermediate care areas, in operating rooms and general wards, and for transport inside the hospital. The capnography extension works together with the M3001A or M3002A multi-measurement module (MMS) and the M8102A IntelliVue MP2 patient monitor. It can be attached to the MMS and MP2 without cables and sends its processed waves numeric and basic alerts to the host monitor.
